Demeanor: It depends on the individual; speaking on a normal perspective, there is no one true set way an Accursed will act. That being said, however, when enraged, the Accursed are a fearsome, maniacal foe. When put through heavy stress, heavy negativity, of any shape or form, for too long - and this length varies from individual to individual - the Accursed begin to exhibit behaviours that are universal among their race: increased violence; a strong blood lust; psychotic expression of facial features, vocal and body language; inability to distinguish between allies, enemies or innocent parties. Accursed are able to pull back from this mindset - depending upon willpower and mental capacity - however, it becomes increasingly difficult to return to normal each time the individual falls into this maniacal state.


Brief History: Another universe once housed a planet called Earth; where beings called Humans lived a relatively normal existence. One day, however, this peace was shattered via the revelation that magic - a source of energy inside every single living being that could be manipulated in order to perform abilities or feats normally impossible by mortals - and demons - creatures that were monstrous in form and had vast knowledge and understanding of magic - had coexisted with humans for eons without their knowledge. Humans discovered that they had the ability to wield this magic, and sought to do so in order to, for some, coexist with demons, and for others, destroy demons.

It is not entirely certain how the first Accursed came to be: there is a legend, however, that was passed down for centuries after the Accursed began to roam Earth.

"There once was a man, whose name was lost to the ages, that had been in love with a woman. This man had suffered many losses in his life, all of which rooted negativity inside of him. This negativity was kept at bay via the affection and care he held for the woman. However, one day, the woman died, thanks to actions that had been brought about by the very man she had loved. Devastated, the man was overcome by the negativity inside of his soul - he was deformed, warped into a shadowy figure that was even more hideous than the demons; and thus, the first Accursed was born."


Anatomy & Looks: Normally, Accursed take on a humanoid shape, not that unlike the Semplains of Mysticverse. This is not their true form however; it is merely a construct of their memory of how they used to appear, when they were normal mortals. Thus, the Accursed never appear to physically age - because they cannot; they are beings forever trapped in the age when they became Accursed.

Their true form is that of a tall, shadowy figure. Lithe, they are extremely thin, and their limbs are freakishly elongated. Their fingers extend into pointed claws, as well as their toes. Their mouths are wide, stretching along their face and ending where a normal human's jawline begins. Their teeth are sharp, thick. Their eyes are wide, spherical in shape, and have no pupils or irises; in fact, their eyes are the colour of their existence, and this varies from individual. They have no ears; only small holes in the side of their heads, although they can hear just fine.

Their bodies become encased in the energy which resides inside of their soul, usually looking thick, liquefied, like plasma, and oft takes on the colour of their existence, varying from individual to individual. A tail constructed from the plasma energy often juts out their backside, and this tail can be used to deflect, lift or grab any solid object or energy projectile, so long as the Accursed is strong enough to do so. Despite their thinned appearance, Accursed are extremely agile, able to run and leap at speeds far beyond that which they look capable. Although not particularly physically strong, Accursed have the ability to utilize the energy encasing them and manipulate it into thinned crescent like projectiles for combat, or as a shield for defense.


Skills: Accursed posses the ability to manipulate the energy within their very being. This takes the form of a thick plasma looking energy which encases their body when in their true form. This can act as both a shield for defenses, or be reshaped into small crescent like projectiles which can cut or explode upon impact, depending on how the Accursed manipulates the energy. They are also able to recover quickly from wounds, reforming entirely if their bodies are destroyed; however, this is not without immense pain, and it takes weeks to fully recover if their bodies are destroyed. In fact, Accursed are, well, cursed in the sense that any pain they feel is greatly exaggerated and overpowering to them. Most Accursed either go one of two ways: they adjust to this fact and become dependent upon, even enjoying, the pain to help cope with their existence, or they avoid combat and physical interaction altogether.


Lifespan: Have been cited as being Immortal; however, this is far from the case. Accursed merely continue to exist, so long as they fail to accomplish the goal which has been given to them. Even if their body is destroyed, it reforms almost immediately; the pain they feel is actually heightened thanks to their state of being, and thus, they do not enjoy engaging in combat. Most Accursed are not even aware they have a goal to complete, as this is never explained to them, or even alluded to. This goal stems from a deep regret or sorrow from their mortal life; once that goal is completed, the Accursed is 'freed' and subsequently their very existence is erased from all universes.


Notes: Originating from Starfolk, the Accursed are a new breed of race that have begun manifesting themselves in Mysticverse. As such, it is rare to find them originating from something other than that of Starfolk, though it is not entirely outside the realms of possibility.
