THE SHIFTERS
Demeanor: The Shifters are extreme escape artists. They hate being confined to one space, ever. So they've devised some cunning ways of escape, unique to each individual. However, they are not usually the kind of race to start conflict without reason. They do fight if they must. Most of them prefer to stay either alone or in small coalitions of other Shifters to survive. Guys and girls usually stay seperated in their Human form unless they're siblings. If someone ever sees a band of Shifters, they're most likely a group of Brothers and Sisters.
Anatomy & Looks: Shifters vary as greatly as species do. Each shifter has his own Animal form. Most of the time, Families will have similar shifts (for instance, a Wolf and Coyote shifter pair would produce another canine; Perhaps a fox). However, two totally different shifts can produce almost anything (wolf and mountain lion has a fine chance of popping a ferret). They are usually very fit, with a medium motabolism. They also are very toned because of all the action they engage in while in their Animal Form.
Brief History: They didn't play a very large roll in the varying battles for Supremacy. However, since they were always there, they have passed down stories of War, Peace, Creation and Destruction for generations. Only now have they considered sharing these generational stories with those races were a dominant part in it, and even then they still prefer not to talk to other Races for fear of being given the title of Demon due to their powers. However, the newer the Generation gets, the more often inter-race friendships spring up. Many elders fear that the straggling wall between Shifters and the other Races may break soon.
Skills:
-They can change into an animal almost effortlessly at will
-They have ONE power that goes with their species, but it only can last around 15 minutes (for instance, a Panther may be able to turn into a shadow; A cheetah may be able to turn into a gust of wind briefly; ect)
Lifespan: Depends on the lifestyle; 50-125 years is the usual range.

Do you have a 150x150 image I can use for the race's page, by any chance?

I... To be honest... No. xS Reason being, if I did, I would have to use a Human, and then seek out all the different terrestrial species of the World.

Do you have a picture of just one example. Like a drawing of an animal you think fits the race? Perhaps a person next to an animal? We can assume that Shifters have Semplain origins (since Semplain are basically humans) so if the person looks humanish, it wouldn't be a problem.

Have you ever seen one of those pics with like a half human face, half animal face? It's up to you, since it's your race. If you can find something, I can resize it.
