Lolita are known by many to be clever, albeit hive-minded individuals, whose deception and creative ploys usually have a higher purpose in mind. This higher purpose may not even be known by the Lolita herself; in fact, Lolita trickery comes second to Lolita loyalty. Once a Lolita has accepted a person or entity as her 'master,' she lives entirely to serve that individual. Lolita left to their own devices are often scatter-brained and frantic and function better serving a general goal. More often than not, Lolita betray their youthful appearance with a strange sexual allure and acute wit.

Most Lolita live in the Underworld, and therefore serve the presiding leader, Knott. He is not Lolita himself, but is said to be the Father and Creator of Lolita. No one is sure where Lolita have come from, but if it is to be believed they are created by an individual and for a purpose, many have surmised Knott must have brought them into existence. Lolita were a key factor in the Battle of the First Age, as the entities that first captured and enslaved the Garuda, planted cursed weaponry in the hands of Humans, and eventually retreated to stop the war on orders from Knott. Though it is assumed Lolita rarely act outside of Knott's wishes (or whomever they claim to be their master) there is, perhaps, the possibility that Lolita have motives of their own. Lolita now live amongst the people, even having the audacity to take up residence in Avalice-Skae alongside the Garuda they once called their slaves.

Most Lolita are members of the Followers of Knott organization. It is not required, but Lolita that are not Followers rarely live in the Underworld, unless there in secret or under cover for an above ground force.

Lolita are a very short, child-like race of women. Created entirely by magic, Lolita are said to be formed in the image that would best suit their creator's purposes. Lolita are said to have been created by Knott, who must have found some use in an all-female race of tricksters, should that theory be correct. Lolita basically resemble Humans of all kinds and could easily pass for them were it not for their set of bat wings and red eyes.

Lolita are naturally persuasive creatures with a high level of intelligence and an eye for shiny objects. They cannot fly long-distances, unlike the Garuda, because their wings are too small. They are gifted in the harnessing of magic energies and make for top-notch illusionists and assassins.

Half-Lolita are human in appearance, aside from a combination of bat wings and red eyes (or just one of the two). Half-Lolita are also gifted in using magic, particularly dealing with illusions or temporarily changing how they look.
